Hi everyone, I wanted to get y’all caught up on my recent disappearance. My father’s health took a turn for the worse in late November and he passed away suddenly in early December. Since then I’ve been caught in a maelstrom of funeral planning and grieving and traveling to be with family. So that’s why I’ve disappeared suddenly around here.

Please, accept my deep condolences, Valorie. I've lost my mother six years ago, and still I cannot say that I have come to terms over the loss. I chanced upon a quote by S.Cisneros the other day. There is truth in her words, and I couldn't have expressed it better for the life of me. "Once people are not here physically, the spiritual remains. We still connect, we can communicate, we can give and receive love and forgiveness. There is love after someone dies." Please, do not let it out of sight.
