A Personal Note

Hi everyone,

I wanted to get y’all caught up on my recent disappearance. My father’s health took a turn for the worse in late November and he passed away suddenly in early December. Since then I’ve been caught in a maelstrom of funeral planning and grieving and traveling to be with family. So that’s why I’ve disappeared suddenly around here.

I’d love to say that I’m back now but the reality is that all of the work handling someone’s death doesn’t end with the funeral. There is a lot left for me to do with my family for the next few weeks, so I’ll resume regular posting in January. The Monday morning writing prompts were already scheduled so they will continue.

There is irony in this happening right as I was planning for the future of Collected Rejections. I certainly didn’t plan to disappear all through December after promising to give y’all a taste of what was coming. Nevertheless, all the new free/paid changes I was going to make are still coming.
