📢 Quick announcement folks!
Starting in 2023, the writing prompts will only be available for paying subscribers. I’ve had so much fun reading what you’re all writing in response to these prompts. I hope you’ll consider becoming a paying subscriber to join our little writer’s community. There’s a 20% off discount through the end of January.
Every Monday morning I send out a prompt for subscribers to use to write a story. This is part of our challenge to write 52 short stories in one year. If you do write something using this prompt, I’d love to read it. Drop a link to your writing in the comments—or, hey! If it’s short enough, drop your whole story in the comments!
Prompt:
A lawyer is hired by a defendant on a small-time fraud case. In the course of proving them innocent though, the lawyer realizes they might be the most prolific serial killer their region has ever seen.
