Weekly Writing Prompt #18
Every Monday morning I send out a prompt for subscribers to use to write a story. This is part of our challenge to write 52 short stories in one year. Prompt:
A demon possesses you. He doesn't want to control you, he just reeeeeaaaally doesn't want to go back to Hell.
Being possessed isn't like you'd think it be. There's no green vomit, and try as I might, I still can't turn my next 360 degrees. Mostly it's just weird quirks like an addiction to Hot Tamales and Cajun food. Maybe I just got lucky.
My demon isn't hellbent (sorry!) on creating any evil; they just don't want to go back to hell...but this is 2022 America, and I don't have the heart to tell them they're already there.
